Yoga Detour was struggling with their website—they were on their third website in two years, which could not grow or change with the company. The WordPress website was not using best practices, meeting ADA requirements, or able to handle features they wanted to add.
In addition, the software they were using to offer courses was lacking features, clunky, and not meeting their needs.
Aardonyx designed and built a custom website that uses Contentful CMS. The simplified editing interface allows Yoga Detour to change the things they want to change but also uphold strict design parameters, so their brand is solidified.
The front end of the website, built with React and Next, is fast to load and, because we can control the code, allows Yoga Detour to stay up to date with best practices and ADA compliance.
Using a headless CMS also allows us to easily integrate with external APIs. We helped Yoga Detour choose a new Learning Management System that met their needs—the open source version of Canvas, which is full-featured and also free.
Users are able to purchase courses directly on Yoga Detour’s new site, and we automatically enroll them in the correct course in Canvas. We also register them into Yoga Detour’s CRM software.
The website accounts for the user’s location, and automatically adjusts currency based on the user’s location.
